If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">2. Purpose of the Website<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Website presents the accommodation, facilities, offers and experiences available at Praia da Lota Resort, and allows visitors to consult information, subscribe to our newsletter, contact us, and start a booking. Bookings themselves are completed through our secure booking partner (see Section 4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">3. Using the Website<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You agree to use the Website lawfully and not to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>use it in a way that damages, disables or impairs the Website or interferes with other users;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers or any connected systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>introduce viruses or other harmful material;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>copy, reproduce or reuse content from the Website except as allowed in Section 8.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may suspend, withdraw or restrict access to all or part of the Website at any time, for example for maintenance or updates, without prior notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">4. Bookings and reservations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reservations for our rooms, suites and apartments are processed through our external booking partner, <strong>D-EDGE \/ secure-hotel-booking.com<\/strong>. When you click &#8220;Book Now&#8221;, you are directed to that partner&#8217;s platform, where the booking is completed under the terms and privacy rules shown there in addition to these Terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A booking is only confirmed once you receive a written confirmation (by email) with a reservation reference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are responsible for making sure the details you provide (dates, number of guests, contact details) are correct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The rate, board type, and conditions applicable to your stay are those shown at the time of booking and stated in your confirmation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be eligible for our direct-booking benefits (such as the price-match guarantee, exclusive deals, or a welcome bottle of wine), you must book directly through this Website or our booking partner, and any specific conditions attached to each benefit apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">5. Prices, taxes and payment<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prices are shown in Euro (\u20ac) and, unless stated otherwise, include VAT (IVA) at the legal rate in force.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Municipal tourist tax:<\/strong> a tourist tax is payable on arrival, in addition to the accommodation price:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u20ac1.00 per person, per day, up to a maximum of 7 days;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>children aged 11\u201313: \u20ac0.50 per day;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>children aged 0\u201310: free.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment terms (including any deposit, prepayment, or payment on arrival) are those shown during the booking process and in your confirmation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We reserve the right to correct any obvious pricing errors, even after a booking has been made, in which case you will be informed and may cancel free of charge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">6. Cancellations, changes and no-shows<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The cancellation and modification conditions that apply to your stay are those attached to your chosen rate and shown at the time of booking and in your confirmation. Please read them carefully, as some rates are non-refundable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cancellations or changes should be made through the booking partner&#8217;s platform or by contacting us directly using the details in Section 1.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the event of a <strong>no-show<\/strong> (not arriving without cancelling), the conditions of your rate apply and charges may be non-refundable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Because accommodation is provided for a specific date or period, the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to many online purchases does <strong>not<\/strong> apply to these bookings, in accordance with Portuguese consumer law (Decreto-Lei n.\u00ba 24\/2014).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">7. Check-in, check-out and house rules<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check-in and check-out times, minimum-stay requirements (currently a minimum of 2 nights), and any resort rules are those communicated at the time of booking and on arrival.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A valid identification document is required at check-in for all guests, in line with legal obligations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guests are responsible for behaving respectfully towards staff, other guests and the property. We may refuse or terminate a stay in cases of serious misconduct or damage, and charge for any damage caused.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">8. Intellectual property<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All content on the Website \u2014 including text, logos, images, graphics, layout and design \u2014 is owned by or licensed to Praia da Lota Resort and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may view and download content for your own personal, non-commercial use only. Any other use, reproduction or distribution requires our prior written permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">9. Third-party links and content<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Website may contain links to third-party websites and services (such as the booking partner, social media, or maps). We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of those third parties. Following such links is at your own risk, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">10. Liability<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We take reasonable care to keep the information on the Website accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is always complete, current or error-free. Images may be illustrative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Portuguese law, including our responsibilities to consumers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">11. Personal data and privacy<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We process personal data (for example, when you subscribe to our newsletter, use the contact form, or make a booking) in accordance with our <strong>Privacy Policy<\/strong> and <strong>Cookies Policy<\/strong>, which explain what we collect, why, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The competent entity for the Algarve region is: <strong>CIMAAL \u2014 Centro de Informa\u00e7\u00e3o, Media\u00e7\u00e3o e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo do Algarve<\/strong> \u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.consumoalgarve.pt\/\"> www.consumoalgarve.pt<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Note: the European Commission&#8217;s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued in 2025 and should no longer be referenced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">13. Governing law and jurisdiction<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute arising from them or from use of the Website will be subject to the competent Portuguese courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that entitle a consumer to bring proceedings in their place of residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">14.
